As business development manager your main responsibilities will be generating new leads, chasing these leads and closing deals in order to grow profitable revenues for the company. You will also be in charge of managing accounts and building relationships with clients. You will be targeting SME and corporate sized companies within a variety of different industries, including building merchants and construction companies to offer a wide range of products such as building materials, fixings and fastenings.
The successful business development manager will be a vibrant and self-motivated individual who can work under pressure to meet and exceed their sales targets, a hunger and drive to succeed is key. Direct sales experience is a must and fixings/ fastening experience is also desired. The Business development manager will need a strong work ethic, resilience, tenacity and a positive attitude. You will also have to be personable and have good relationship building skills.
As business development manager, you will be offered a basic salary of £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience and a strong commission structure offering an OTE of £45,000.
