DescriptionDue to increased work load, our client a leading Trend Technology centre is looking to hire a BMS Sales Estimator to be based at their offices in Kent.
As a BMS Sales Engineer you would be expected to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
Provide quotations that are both technically sound whilst ensuring they are competitive in the current market.
Make sure tender return dates are met to suit the client’s deadlines.
Follow up all quotations as required to ensure that no opportunities are missed.
Highlight discrepancies with a certain design and advise the client as early as possible.
Cultivate clients when on the phone in order to give them confidence with our ability to quote and to carry out the works.
Be pro-active as opposed to reactive.
Generate opportunities by contacting our current client base rather than waiting for enquiries to arrive.
At all times aim to get the business specified, nominated or preferred for any control system project.
Assist where possible to generate and follow-up good quality sales leads to meet the overall Sales Department targets.
Agree, and from time to time review, with the Sales Director, any prioritising or concentrated effort to be applied to a customer group or market sector.
Identify customer buying motives and present the customer with the matching benefits for them to choose the business.
Understand and work within the company’s pricing structures to be able to prepare competitive quotations.
5 years working within the building controls/BMS or HVAC industry
Experience within a similar role
Experience working on building management systems possibly as an engineer
Previous sales support experience
Have the required level of computer literacy skills.
Undergo training as required by the company and demonstrate the necessary ability to learn.
Have clear and efficient communication skills, both written/drawn and spoken, with all levels of customer, supplier (as necessary) and work colleagues.
